How does Brugo compare to café espresso?
Brugo uses the same 22-bar pressure system as professional home cafe machines but in a smaller form factor. The extraction quality is identical. The difference is portability. Brugo weighs 780g and runs on battery power.
What's the difference between the two modes?
Heat and extract mode heats cold water and brews your shot. This uses more battery and gives you 8 shots per charge. Extract-only mode skips heating. Use this with pre-boiled water for up to 300 shots per charge.
Can I use any Nespresso pods?
Yes. One works with Nespresso-compatible pods from any brand. The included adapter fits standard Nespresso capsule sizes.
What grind size for ground coffee?
Use espresso grind (fine). The same grind you'd use for a traditional espresso machine. Pre-ground espresso from most coffee shops works perfectly.
How long does it take to brew a shot?
In heat and extract mode: approximately 3-4 minutes from cold water to finished shot. In extract-only mode with pre-heated water: approximately 30-45 seconds.
How do I clean it?
Hand wash the cup and both adapters after use. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never submerge the machine body. Descale monthly using standard espresso machine descaling solution.
Can I use it while charging?
Yes. Brugo can be used while connected to power via it's USB-C port like a regular home espresso machine.
How long does the battery last?
Our dual capacity 13,500mAh battery provides 10 full heat-and-extract cycles of a 40ml shot or 300 extract-only cycles. Actual capacity varies based on water temperature and ambient conditions.
How long does charging take?
Approximately 2 hours for a full charge using a USB-C fast charger. Charge time may vary with different power adapters.
Is it airline safe?
